JANUARY 31, 2008 WICHITA MAN CHARGED WITH BANK ROBBERYWICHITA, KAN. - Robert A. James, 42, Wichita, was charged Thursday with one count of bank robbery. James is accused of the Jan. 26, 2008, robbery at Intrust Bank, 1544 S. Webb in Wichita. According to a criminal complaint and affidavit filed in U.S. District Court:
If convicted, he
faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison and a fine up to
$250,000. The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Wichita Police Department
worked on the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Lanny Welch is prosecuting.
