APRIL 11, 2008 BB GUN BANK ROBBER SENTENCED TO 55 MONTHSTOPEKA, KAN. – A Topeka man who carried a BB gun when he robbed banks in Topeka was sentenced Thursday to 55 months in federal prison. Tremaine Mondale Beadles, 25, pleaded guilty in December 2007 to four counts of robbery including: – An Oct. 22, 2006, robbery at McDonald’s restaurant, 3530 N.W. 36th in Topeka where he worked. He said he helped R andall WayneThomas plan the robbery. Thomas committed the robbery and gave Beadles a share of the proceeds. Thomas is awaiting trial on two federal robbery counts. U.S. Attorney Eric Melgren commended the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Topeka Police Department, the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office and Assistant U.S. Attorney Randy Hendershot for their work on the case.
